Medium is full of articles about side hustles and making money online. Yet, most people never make any money!
Why?
Making money online is never a get-rich-quick scheme. You don’t make a fortune in 24 hours by building apps, writing articles, or selling courses.
You need years of work and commitment before you make it overnight.
You’ve read those articles that go like this: “How I made $100K in 3 days” or “how I made a fortune selling courses in 24 hours”. These numbers are not accurate.
I’m not saying they’re lying. It’s more of a clickbait.
In order to make this amount of money in a short period of time selling courses or building apps, you need to have an audience. You need to have at least 5,000 to 10,000 followers on different social media platforms to make this amount of money overnight.
And building this number of followers is never an overnight process.
Most people who make large amounts of money online don’t deny that they did it because they already have a large fan base.
The problem is when people ignore this point and jump directly to the result!
They want to make $100,000 in 3 days like that person did. So they create a course or write a book, share it on Twitter, and then they start counting the zeros.
Hours, days, weeks, and months pass but no sales!
So they either think they’re failures or that these people lied to them.
Let me tell you something:
Nothing that’s worth it in life comes that easy.
As Steve Jobs said, “If you really look closely, most overnight successes took a long time”.
Yes, it took them 3 days to make $100,000. But it took them 5 years to build an audience, 10 years to build experience in that field, and 2 years to create a high-quality product.
So it wasn’t really an overnight success.
Making money online can be a life-changing experience. You can quit your job to work from home on projects you really enjoy.
It’s a long process. But it’s worth it.
